Beauty and the Beast, Jr. Registration Deadline

This classic Disney musical is open to all Delta County students in grades 4-12.

  • Performances will be on April 26th to 28th.
  • Audition videos will be accepted until December 15.
  • All rehearsals are scheduled to take place in Paonia and will begin the week of January 8, occurring after school 1-2 days/week depending on your child’s role.
  • The larger the role, the more rehearsal time they’ll need to put in.  Availability will likely influence casting decisions.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST VIDEO AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

All students are encouraged to submit a video. However, it is only required if you’d like to be considered for the roles of: Belle, Beast, Gaston, Lefou, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Babette, Madame, or Chip.  Do not let age or gender keep you from auditioning for a specific role.  Go for it! 

Choose one (or both!) of the following songs to learn and sing for your audition.  Below are links to the karaoke track you’ll need to use when you film yourself. It’s important that we can hear the backing music in your audition video. You’ll need one device to play the karaoke track and another device to film yourself.  Upload your finished video to the form below.

Participating in a full-length Broadway type of musical is a big commitment.

Rehearsals will be 1-2 days/week, depending on role, for 12 weeks (not including school breaks), with a few extra Saturday rehearsals, plus production week dress rehearsals. We'd like to try to accommodate as many kids as possible by offering options for rehearsal times.

Please check which rehearsal times you can make, then let us know of any scheduling conflicts you have. Students are allowed to miss 2 rehearsals (not including production week or mandatory Saturday rehearsals. If you have extenuating circumstances, let us know). This will help us in creating a rehearsal schedule.

Be aware that casting decisions may be influenced by rehearsal availability.

All-Cast rehearsals will take place on the following 3 Saturdays from 12-6 pm.  The March 30th rehearsal is MANDATORY, as well as at least one of the other two Saturday rehearsals.
